VADA - Tuscany / Italy
Today Vada is one of the most peaceful tourist areas along the Etruscan Coast, and is more precisely known as "Rada del Saraceno" (the Saracen roadstead). The natural beauty of its environment, its extensive pine forests, the wide beaches of fine white sand and its exceptionally mild climate make it a popular location not only for holidays but also for short breaks and weekends.
The sea, which includes a large shallow area of sand-banks offshore (Secche di Vada), is inhabited by large quantities of fish and is therefore ideal for all those who enjoy traditional and underwater fishing.
The tourist area of Vada covers the whole length of the Rada del Saraceno, extending from the Pietrabianca pine-woods in the North to the residential areas of Molino a Fuoco and Mazzanta to the Southe, where there are new areas being developed for tourism amid the green of the northern Maremma pine forests.
