Tourism
Vada is very well equipped for accomodating tourists in structures concentrated mainly along the coastline.
Among these feature many camping sites which are situated either on the sea-front or in the pine-woods behind the beaches.
Hotels, boarding houses, restaurants and pizza shops complete Vada's hospitality together with numerous residential complexes and private apartaments which are rented out during the Summer months.
This seaside resort has 5 Km of splendid beaches 50 metres in width. most of the beaches are public though equipped with umbrellas and deck-chair for hire; there are also excellent private beach establishments. Sailing may be enjoyed all year round in the safety of Vada' s wide gulf and boats may be berthed in the horbour.
There are many shipyards nearby. Facilities for sports and leisure are plentiful: tennis, putting, roller-skating; surfing and swimming, football pitch, bowling and swimming pools.

Behind Vada's coastal plains a series of rolling hills begin and numerous towns and villages of typical medieval appearance lie along their slopes; fairs and festivals are frequent in Rosignano, Castelnuovo, Gabbro, Castellina, Riparbella, Montescudaio, Guardistallo, Casale, Castagneto Carducci, Sassetta, Suvereto. Some of the islands of the Tuscan archipelago(Elba, Capraia, Giglio), of Etruscan towns like Populonia and Volterra, and beautiful cities like Florence, Pisa and Siena, can be visited with excursion which are organised daily from Vada.
